How to Transfer Money from Netspend to Chime: 4 Easy Steps
There are two ways to transfer money from Netspend to Chime: through the app or on the web. We’ll walk you through both methods so that you can choose the one that’s best for you.
In a few easy steps, you can have your money transferred from Netspend to Chime. Just link the two accounts and initiate transfer requests through the app or website! Next, we will cover 4 simple steps that will lead you to a successful transaction.
#1 Create a Netspend Account and Routing Number
If you don’t already have a Netspend account, you’ll need to create one. You can do this by visiting the Netspend website and following the instructions. Once you have an account, you’ll need to find your routing number. This can be found on the back of your Netspend card or by logging into your account online.
Netspend also offers a feature called “Direct Deposit.” This allows employers or government agencies to deposit money directly into your Netspend account. If you have this feature enabled, you may not need to transfer money from another bank account into Netspend before transferring it to Chime.
Now that you have a Netspend account and routing number, you’re ready to move on to the next step.
#2 Tap or Click the “Link a Bank Account” Option
The Chime app or website provides you with the option to link your bank account once it has been opened.
This can be found in settings where there are various other options for customization, such as changing logo and theme colorings!
#3 Select Your Bank account and Add It
You can either search for your bank or scroll through the list of available banks. If you are unsure how to find your bank, you can always visit their website and look for the routing number on the home page.
Once you have located and selected your bank, you will be asked to enter in some additional information. This will include your full name, email address, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
You will also need to provide your Netspend account number and routing number. You can find this information on the back of your Netspend card or by logging into your account online.
#4 Move Money Option and Choose Netspend
After you have linked your bank account, you will be taken to the “Link & Transfer” page. On this page, you will see the option to “Move Money.” Select this option and then choose Netspend from the list of available banks.
You will then be asked to enter the amount of money that you would like to transfer from Netspend to Chime. Be sure to enter an amount that is within your daily or monthly limit. Once you have entered all of the required information, select the “Transfer Now” button and your money will be on its way!
You will receive an email notification from Chime once the transaction is complete. Depending on your bank’s policies, the money may be available in your Chime account immediately or it may take a few days.
Transfer Money from Netspend to Chime via PayPal
Chime is a bank like any other, and thus it’s not possible to transfer money directly from Netspend (a prepaid debit card) into your Chime account. There are several indirect ways you can cash in on those funds though!
One way would be by using PayPal as an intermediary – link them both together so that when someone sends their donation through this payment platform they’ll get added to my balance too.
Then after five days, all transactions should show up where users usually keep track of things themselves.
What to Do if the Money Does not Arrive in Chime’s Account for a Long Time?
If you don’t see the money in your Chime account after a few days, there are a couple of things you can do.
First, check to make sure that the transaction went through by logging into your Netspend account. If you see that the funds have been deducted from your Netspend account, but they have not arrived in your Chime account yet, contact Chime customer service.
They will be able to help you track down the missing funds and get them deposited into your account as soon as possible.
